'Rock Solid' is PG Tips’ first campaign in eight years and follows a £12m investment. A powerful story of overcoming self-doubt and finding inner courage, Walters coaches himself out of the doldrums over a cup of PG Tips before inviting the nation to summon their own self-belief and positivity.
Directed by Oscar-winning director, Sir Steve McQueen (12 Years a Slave) and featuring music from Mercury Prize-winning Ezra Collective, the campaign blazes a trail for British talent throughout. Supported by research which explored tea drinking habits, it identified the top 20 occasions brits turn to a ‘brew’.
PG Tips has been made in Manchester since the 1930s and the cooker perfectly met the design brief for the brand’s green and red colour palette. Following the initial loan, the model has been purchased by the brand to go on display at its UK headquarters.
